Power & Free

Power and Free Conveyors as the name implies is a combination of a powered system positioned over a free track. Drive dogs on the powered chain latching into the leading trolley of a load bar arrangement to move loads.
This type of system has the capability if necessary of handling heavier loads than an ordinary powered system and has the versatility of allowing loads to accumulate, be stopped at work stations or be transferred to various areas for different manufacturing operations.
Storage zones can be power assisted or completely free for manual movement depending on the application.
 

A light to medium duty system comprises the Trakmaster 203 powered conveyor with 228 trolleys running in a double angle rail below connected by special bridge plates. Drive dogs engage with the trolley to provide movement and can be disengaged by stop blades in the track to provide accumulation facilities.
The trolleys are fitted with flanged guide wheels to centralise the unit and trolleys can be coupled together with load bars to carry loads up to 100kg.

The heavy duty system comprises the Trakmaster 406 with heavy duty trolleys running in a double channel rail below. The trolleys would run on flanged wheels coupled together to suit the handled load.
