Toyota Motor Manufacturing – Deeside

Midland have jut won a contract for Toyota Manufacturing – Deeside to supply a Trakmater 304 overhead chain conveyor. The conveyor is generally a transportation and storage device but at high level to allow free floor space below the track line. The products are crank shafts that will be automatically loaded one end and will index down the line every 8.5m at a height of around 3.2m. The conveyor will descend at the end of the line before stopping for automatic off load. The system was also provided with under-guarding as a health and safety precaution as personnel would be walking underneath the conveyor line.
